How to get to Saigon Opera House

For a start, the Saigon Opera House is right next to the Caravelle Hotel. Ask around and most people will be able to point you to this tall Caravelle Hotel, leading you to the Saigon Opera House. But it’s easy to find anyway so here’s how to get to Saigon Opera House from the Ben Thanh Market.

Standing in between Ben Thanh Market and the statue marked with blue arrow, head towards the Saigon Centre which is that tall dark grey building marked with red arrow. The Saigon Opera House is only about 800m from here.

This picture is with the Ben Thanh Market directly behind you. Cross the road here. Again, use the Saigon Centre (red arrow) as a general direction.

After crossing the road from Ben Thanh Market in the previous photo, head down about 600m from here, in the direction of the yellow arrow.

Just keep walking down, this time using the Sheraton Hotel as a landmark (yellow arrow).

In this picture below, you are now directly behind the Rex Hotel and the People’s Committee Building is at your 10 o’clock (on your left). The Saigon Opera House is about 200m from here, pointed by the yellow arrow. Blue arrow indicates the Caravelle Hotel.
