There are actually 2 articles in this post. I’ll tell you about the type of room you can rent in a Phu My Hung hotel at Saigon’s district 7 in a while. But first, let me share how this post came about.
The picture below is ‘QT’, a Vietnamese living in the States. He is a big fan of Vietnam720. How cool is this? 
2 months prior to returning Vietnam for a 3 months tour, he used Vietnam720.com as a guide on the restaurants, places of interest and updates for Vietnam. And one of the place QT didn’t know until Vietnam720 came along was the new urban city of Saigon in Phu My Hung. He made a trip down to check out the place, liked it so much that he rented a room and decided that he’ll stay in Saigon, particularly Phu My Hung, for at least a month out of his 3 months planned trip for the whole of Vietnam.
We met up for coffee and chats in Phu My Hung. And when he kept telling me how comfortable his room is, I decided to check it out and thus come the 2nd part of this post on Phu My Hung hotel.
The pictures below is how QT’s US$450/mth room in a typical Phu My Hung hotel look like. Note that the name here is not of an exact hotel but that I’m highlighting the type of room you can rent in Phu My Hung for under US$500 per month. This room is on the top level of a house with the ground floor running a restaurant and a security guard looking after the place all the time. There’s a separate entrance to the room so no worries about disturbing anyone when u return home at 2am in the morning. The room comes fully furnished with cable TV and both an internet line and WIFI to help you stay connected.

There are quite a few hotels in Phu My Hung and naturally they double up as a private apartment for those seeking long term stay. Phu My Hung is only 20mins away from the city with all the modern amenities like shopping centre, supermarkets, good restaurants, gym, pubs and cafe. Even as a tourist, I think it’ll be fun staying away from the city for a change. And if you are looking to bum around Saigon for a while, you won’t go wrong renting a room in Phu My Hung.

This particular unit does not have weekly rental option. But there are many other hotels in Phu My Hung that will welcome you, be it for a day or weeks

But there are MANY such room for rent at this price in Phu My Hung. Just make your way there and you’ll see that there are many real estate companies and agents waiting for you
