There are at least more than 10 websites on Vietnam news that you can find online. The 3 below are the ones I’ve counted on over the years to get my dose on the happenings in Vietnam and thought I’d share with you guys. When I googled ‘Vietnam news’ for fun just before writing this article, to my delight, the 3 websites I’m about to share are on the top 5 search list. This shows that they are the most popular and thus means that we are on the right track.

 

The first one is Viet Nam News at http://www.vietnamnews.com.vn/. Be careful not to leave out the ‘.vn‘ at the back. The Viet Nam News has the actual English newspapers which is published 7 days a week so you can count on their credibility. The website has a clean and tidy layout with the most important news in brief at the top and usually ending with sports news at the bottom. For me, I love being able to immediate catch the exchange rates and weather on the top right hand column just before I dive into the news.

The next 2 Vietnam news websites are www.ThanhNienNews.com and http://english.vietnamnet.vn/. The best feature about these 2 websites are the little gossip news you’ll come across along the way: protest in some factories, how a corrupted leader got caught, battles between the banks on interest rates… Who says boys can’t be busybodies? Beside the gossip news, I also like the dedicated sub-section focusing on tourism in Vietnam. And finally, these 2 sites are also a good place to catch up on news about the Vietnamese youth and the entertainment industry.
